 MISSIMER AND ASSOCIATES EXPANDS BOARD TO EIGHT,
 ADDS TWO OUTSIDE DIRECTORS
 CAPE CORAL, Fla., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Missimer & Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: MSMR), a leading regional environmental services company, has expanded its board of directors from six members to eight, and appointed two prominent Florida businessmen to the new positions, it was announced today by Robert A. Fletcher, Missimer's chairman and chief executive officer.
 The new outside directors are: Joe K. Blacketer, vice president of the Mariner Properties, Inc. division of Mariner Group, Inc. of Fort Myers, Fla., and Guy E. Whitesman, a prominent Fort Myers attorney with the law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A.
 Blacketer is head of finance for the property development subsidiary of the Mariner Group, and also serves as a finance and development consultant for Mariner to the Westpunt Development Corp. in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles. He has been associated with Mariner for the last ten years after having been previously associated with the public accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand. He is a graduate of the Florida State University, with a bachelors of science degree in accounting, and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He resides in Fort Myers with his wife and two children.
 Whitesman is a director and officer with the law firm of Henderson, Franklin, specializing in the areas of taxation, estate, and business planning. He received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Michigan, and a masters of laws (taxation) from the University of Florida. He is a member of the tax sections of both the Florida Bar and the American Bar Association. Prior to moving to Fort Myers, Whitesman served as a criminal defense attorney with the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps and was engaged in the private practice of law in Miami. He is married and resides in Fort Myers.
 Chairman Fletcher, in commenting on the two new appointments to the board, said, "We are pleased that two such skilled and capable businessmen have agreed to serve on our board. Their broad backgrounds in real estate, finance, and legal and regulatory affairs will greatly enhance the depth of experience represented on our board."
 Missimer provides a wide range of environmental services to assess and remediate groundwater and soil contamination, to protect air quality, to assure regulatory compliance and to develop groundwater resources. Its largest business is the remediation of contamination caused by leaking underground storage tanks.
 In addition to the Cape Coral headquarters, Missimer has offices in Jacksonville, Miami, Palm Beach Gardens and Tampa, Fla.; New Orleans, La. (South Central Division headquarters); Charleston, S.C.; and Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas.
