MIRISH DAILY COMMENT: Use the 'Off button more.

IT'S interesting to see the difference between what annoyed Irish people 15 years ago and today.

In the 90s we were hung up about German sunbathers and breastfeeding mums.

Now, it seems, the technological revolution is what really irritates us. And so it should.

Mobile phones are the bane of our lives - ringing at funerals, interrupting conversations and generally being a nuisance.

But guess what folks, it's not the phones - it's their owners.

Phones have an "Off" button - maybe we should all start pressing it a bit more.
