MIRACLE LEGION TO APPEAR ON 'LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN,' MARCH 3;
 ALSO SLATED TO APPEAR AT SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE, MARCH 12
 LOS ANGELES, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Morgan Creek recording artists Miracle Legion will appear Tuesday night, March 3, on "Late Night with David Letterman," on NBC television stations nationwide, 12:30 p.m. EST & PST, 11:30 p.m. CST.
 The band will perform their controversial new single, "Snacks & Candy," a song written about the racially motivated mob slaying of Yusef Hawkins, a black youth, in Brooklyn's Bensonhurst district. The videoclip, directed by renowned New York director Jem Cohen, is now on MTV. (Clip available for viewing on request.)
 In the first two weeks of the album's release, Miracle Legion's new album, "Drenched," produced by John Porter, has received highly favorable reviews and features in such music/pop culture journals as Rolling Stone, Details, Spin, Creem, Sassy, Billboard and Request. Rolling Stone called the effort "an articulate album that considers romance, religion and racism with formidable melodic intelligence."
 An extensive American tour will begin in April and continue through summer. The band will, in the meantime, perform a lone date in the Lone Star state at Austin's South by Southwest Music & Media Conference on Thursday, March 12, midnight, at the Club Jelly on Austin's 6th Street strip. The conference is attended annually by an expected 3,000 representatives of the media and music industries from around the world.
 Miracle Legion is a New Haven, Conn.-based band who released two previous albums on Rough Trade Records, and toured North America, England and Europe with such artists as the Sugarcubes, the Pixies and Pere Ubu. The band contains singer Mark Mulcahy, guitarist Ray Neal, bassist Dave McCaffrey and drummer Spot.
