 TO CELEBRATE OPENING
 Three New Skyways, Hotel Create Link to Convention Center,
 Central Downtown
 WHAT: It will be anything but "business as usual" in downtown Minneapolis Monday. The Minneapolis Hilton and Towers and the City of Minneapolis are throwing a Skyway Bash to celebrate the completion of the hotel and three new skyways.
 -- Every 100th person through any of the three new skyways will receive a free night at the Hilton and Towers.
 -- 1,500 Hilton and Towers prizes will be stuffed inside 3,000 "pop and win" balloons -- 500 free room nights, 500 free desserts and 500 free lunches.
 -- Hilton and Towers waitrons will be roaming the skyways with silver trays of pastries, muffins and other tempting treats.
 WHEN: Monday, Nov. 2. All activities will take place during peak traffic times: 7:30 a.m. - 9 a.m.; 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
 WHO: Mayor Don Fraser, Hilton and Towers General Manager Andre Schaefer, City Council members and the Hilton and Towers staff.
 WHERE: Events will happen in the skyways, on the streets and in the parking ramps surrounding the Hilton and Towers. The hotel is located at 1001 Marquette Ave. S. The new skyways cross 10th and 11th streets, between 2nd and Marquette avenues, and on 2nd Avenue, between 10th and 11th streets.
 VISUALS:
 7:30 a.m. -- In front of the hotel (Marquette Avenue), Fraser will join Schaefer and the Hilton staff in a salute to the completion of the hotel and skyway project. They will be surrounded by a sea of 3,000 red and white prize-filled balloons. Brief remarks will be made and they will flood the streets, skyways and parking ramps to introduce the hotel to the downtown community.
 8 a.m. -- Fraser will announce the winner of "The Great Skyway Stuff" contest in the Second Avenue skyway.
 A.M./P.M. rushes and lunch -- Every 100th person through the skyway wins a free night at the Hilton ... the Hilton staff will be counting; thousands of prize-filled balloons will be distributed and more than 2,000 tasty pastries from the Hilton's own pastry chef will be served by the Hilton staff.
