MILAN PANIC RETURNS TO ICN PHARMACEUTICALS

COSTA MESA, Calif., March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Milan Panic, who has just completed service as Prime Minister of troubled Yugoslavia, has returned to ICN Pharmaceuticals (NYSE: ICN) and its subsidiaries.
In the course of pursuing peace on the Balkans, Mr. Panic brought together the spectrum of political bodies in Yugoslavia, including the church, the intellectual and student communities and business leaders; helped facilitate peace talks; enacted prisoner exchanges; and provided strong leadership in support of democratization and economic reform. In addition, he galvanized Serbia's opposition parties, for which he was cited as a "European of the Year" for 1992 by the Wall Street Journal.
During his tenure as Prime Minister, he was received by over 100 world leaders and the United Nations.
"I am looking forward to taking up the challenges, again, of implementing the company's plans for expansion into new markets and continuing to develop new opportunities," Mr. Panic said.
