 MILACRON TO MAKE PLASTICS INJECTION MOLDING MACHINES IN EUROPE;
 NEW PLANT TO BE BUILT NEAR COLOGNE, GERMANY
 CINCINNATI June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Cincinnati Milacron Inc. (NYSE: CMZ) said today that it has selected a site for a new manufacturing facility in the vicinity of Cologne, Germany. The factory will produce Milacron's Vista line of plastics injection molding machines for the European market.
 "We're making this move in light of the good success we've had exporting our U.S.-built Vista injection molding machines to Europe," said Harold J. Faig, vice president-worldwide injection molding for Milacron. "Building a plant in Germany will give us a permanent presence in Europe and a base from which to capture significant levels of new business within the European community, particularly in Germany itself," he added.
 The initial phase of the project, to be completed 1993, calls for building a 65,000-square-foot plant on a seven-acre tract in a 300-acre industrial complex in Reichshof-Wehnrath, North-Rhine Westphalia.
 "We chose Germany for strategic reasons," Faig explained. "Not only is it central but the country's 8,000 molders make up half of the total in the European community. Milacron is already the acknowledged leader for injection molding technology in North and South America and we're beginning to get good recognition in Europe, as well. The new plant site is ideal for building and selling machines in both Western and Eastern European markets," Faig concluded.
 In the new facility, Milacron will manufacture its U.S.-designed Vista Hydraulic and Vista Large injection molding machines, with models ranging from 300 to 4,000 tons in clamping force.
 Cincinnati Milacron, with 1991 sales of $754 million, is a leading producer of machine tools, plastics processing equipment, computer controls, precision grinding wheels and metalworking fluids. In addition to its U.S. facilities, Milacron has manufacturing operations in Vienna, Austria, Birmingham, England, and Vlaardingen, the Netherlands. The company has been marketing injection molding machines in Europe for the past two years through its subsidiary, Cincinnati Milacron Spritzgiesstechnik GmbH, located in Offenbach (Frankfurt), Germany.
