MIFP DEVELOPMENT RELEASES SCREENSAVOR V. 1.0.1 FOR MACINTOSH, THREE NEW
IMAGE SETS; NOW COMPATIBLE WITH AFTER DARK AND INTERMISSION
PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- MIFP Development has confirmed that its popular photographic-display accessory to After Dark(TM) also functions perfectly with the recently released Macintosh version of Intermission(TM), by Icom Simulations.
"Our compatibility with both After Dark and Intermission means that people can have the best of both worlds," said David Perednia, the Portland company's director of marketing. "Computer users can keep their favorite screen saver program and still enjoy the spectacular images and unique displays that ScreenSavor(TM) has to offer." ScreenSavor has won kudos for its high-quality images, imaginative use of photographic display effects, versatility and ease of use.
The company has also begun shipping ScreenSavor version 1.0.1. The new version corrects a rare problem noted under very low-memory conditions, and has been shipped free of charge to all registered ScreenSavor owners.
Separately, MIFP announced the release of three colorful new add-on image sets for ScreenSavor. "Butterfly Bonanza, Set No. 1" features beautiful and exotic butterflies from around the world, photographed by lepidopterist Dr. Thomas C. Emmel. The other two image sets explore the near reaches of space as seen by manned NASA missions. "Space Flight Set No. 1 -- Mercury to the Moon" features photographs from the first sub-orbital flights to landing on the moon. "Space Flight Set No. 2 -- Shuttle Into Space" features photos from both early and recent shuttle missions.
ScreenSavor image sets are sold separately, and require the ScreenSavor program for display. Seventeen add-on image sets, with subjects ranging from wild animals and scenic photographs to high- speed/scientific photography are now available, and more are being added all the time. Most of the photographs are the work of world-renowned photographers, such as Art Wolfe, Ray Atkeson and Chris Newbert.
ScreenSavor is sold by Made in Oregon stores in the Pacific Northwest, TigerSoftware, MacZone, and software retailers in the United States, Canada and Japan. The ScreenSavor program and add-on image sets can also be ordered directly by calling 800-697-6437. MIFP's offices can be contacted at 503-292-0362, or by e-mail at mbg3b21mifp@uunet.uu.net.
