MIDWEST EXPRESS AIRLINES ANNOUNCES SERVICE TO PHOENIX

MILWAUKEE, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Midwest Express Airlines today announced the introduction of seasonal weekend nonstop service between its Milwaukee hub and Phoenix, Ariz. The new service will include once daily roundtrip service on both Saturdays and Sundays.
According to Midwest Express President Timothy E. Hoeksema, the new service, which will run Dec. 18 to April 17, was added in response to increasingly strong market demand for Phoenix service and the continued success of the airline's seasonal service to Florida.
"Phoenix has been one of our most requested destinations, and we are pleased to be able to offer luxury nonstop jet service to our passengers traveling to and from the Phoenix area," Hoeksema said.
The airline's seasonal daily service to Tampa and weekend service to Ft. Lauderdale and Ft. Myers, Fla., will also resume on Dec. 18. Connections to Phoenix will be available from Muskegon and Grand Rapids, Mich., via Milwaukee.
Service will be onboard the airline's luxury DC9-30 jet aircraft with its roomy two-by-two seating configuration, rated by a leading consumer report as the most comfortable coach seat in the sky. The airline's hallmark gourmet meal service, accompanied by complimentary wine or champagne, has won Midwest Express a distinctive Zagat Survey rating as one of the top two domestic airlines for comfort, service, timeliness and food.
