MIDSOUTH NAMA GETS A TASTE OF MEMPHIS.

Midsouth NAMA members gathered at Meddlesome Brewing Company in Cordova, Tenn., in May to get a taste of the local craft beer scene. Meddlesome was the vision of two entrepreneurs who wanted to create a brewery embodying the spirit of Memphis. Attendees met with co-owner Richie Esquivel and a local farmer to learn about their relationship. Not wanting to waste the grain from the brewing process, Esquivel posted an ad looking for a farmer to pick up the grain for free. The relationship formed as a result and the farmer has now substituted 30 percent of his cattle's feed with grain from the brewery. Chapter members enjoyed learning about the brewing process and grain use while getting a taste of Memphis craft beer.
