MIDLAND: Not just any old face.
A spokesperson for the Bank of England said: "There is no requirement for a change in a banknote but on average there is a change about every eight years.
"We happily accept public suggestions and gather in the names to consider who we issue on new banknotes.
"The crux of the matter is the contribution the person has made to the UK in whatever field they may be in and whether their accomplishments have stood the test of time."
