MICROPROSE ANNOUNCES RECORD SALES FOR F-15 STRIKE EAGLE III

HUNT VALLEY, Md., Dec. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroProse, Inc. (NASDAQ: MPRS), a worldwide developer of entertainment software, has announced the most successful launch of a PC product in their history with the release of F-15 Strike Eagle III, its popular state-of-the-art flight simulation.
F-15 Strike Eagle III follows the tradition of the first two F-15 flight simulators, which combined sold over one and a half million units, worldwide. Within two weeks of its release, F-15 Strike Eagle III has sold over 110,000 units, making it the most significant roll-out in MicroProse history.
F-15 Strike Eagle III offers exciting new features, including new two-player combat capabilities with head-to-head dogfighting, a pilot/weapons officer mode that allows two players to fly in the same F-15 and a two-plane mode in which two players can fly side-by-side in the same mission. An unsurpassed visual system blends 3-D polygon and bitmapped technologies for startling graphics that allow the player to experience more dynamic and realistic action. The enhanced gameplay is a true challenge for even the most avid flight simulation pilots, yet still appeals to beginners.
F-15 Strike Eagle III is available for IBM PCs and compatibles. It requires 2MB of RAM and a hard disk drive. A joystick is recommended. The game supports AdLib, Roland, Tandy, Soundblaster, Pro Audio Spectrum and IBM sound cards as well as VGA/MCGA graphics. The suggested retail price is $79.95.
MicroProse, Inc. designs and markets a full line of entertainment software for personal computers and video game systems. Its products are available nationally and internationally through major distributors, retailers and mass merchants.
