MICRONICS COMPUTERS INC. ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES FREMONT, Calif., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Micronics Computers Inc.
(NASDAQ: MCRN) today announced changes in its management structure.
In a planned move, Chuck K. Chan has stepped down from his post as interim co-president and chief executive officer of Micronics in order to return to his duties at Associated Venture Investors' venture capital funds. Dr. Chan will continue to serve as a member of the Micronics board of directors. In making today's announcement, W.M. Selbach, chairman of the board, stated that until a new chief executive officer is installed, Dean Chang will continue to serve as interim president in addition to his other responsibilities as senior vice president of Research and Development and Strategic Planning. Micronics Computers is a leading supplier of high-performance system boards incorporated in high-end IBM-compatible personal computers sold by OEMs and VARs. A system board contains the microprocessor and supporting logic circuitry and memory components that form the core of a personal computer. The company sells primarily to direct marketers and other marketing-oriented personal computer vendors.
