MICROLOG INTRODUCES NEW CALLSTAR 1200 VOICE PROCESSING PRODUCT

GERMANTOWN, Md., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Microlog Corporation (NASDAQ: MLOG) announced today the introduction of its new CallStar 1200 voice mail and automated attendant system. Shipment of the CallStar 1200 systems will begin in October 1993. CallStar 1200 is an addition to the CallStar 1000 and 2000 family of voice processing systems first delivered in 1992.
CallStar 1200 is designed for the small to medium companies providing 2 to 16 ports of voice mail and automated attendant with 18 hours of voice storage standard -- 30 hours optional. CallStar has a compact foot-print and includes as standard equipment a VGA monitor and keyboard. "We have added more features, improved the product's user interface, created an outstanding Distributor Support Program, while offering the product at very competitive prices. CallStar's improved price performance should greatly enhance our distributor's margins," said Dennis M. Grundy, vice president of marketing.
CallStar will deliver a host of leading-edge capabilities, including full-featured voice messaging, automated attendant and a full suite of over 100 PBX and key system integrations. AMIS networking and FAX capabilities will be available on the CallStar product early in 1994.
Microlog has added even more value to its warranty program, Extended Service Plan and Comprehensive Marketing Plan. The standard warranty has been increased to 24 months on the voice boards and the Extended Service Plan now covers all other components for up to 4 years. Microlog's Distributor Support Kit provides a wealth of product, marketing and sales information designed to assist in the sales process.
"CallStar 1200 is expected to move briskly through Microlog's distribution channel. Sprint/North Supply has already placed their first stocking order for the new product," said Tom Mangan, Microlog's newly appointed senior vice president of sales.
