 TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AGREEMENT FROM NOVELL
 ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Microdyne Corporation (NASDAQ: MCDY) today broadened its line of local area network communications products by announcing that its EXOS Division has assumed the sales, marketing and support responsibility for Novell Inc.'s NetWare SNA Gateway product line and related adapters, providing Microdyne with a complete set of multiuser emulation tools that seamlessly extend its current single user LAN communications product line.
 Microdyne is committed to developing this line of products -- including NetWare SNA Gateway and new 3270 client software called EXOS 3270 LAN Workstation for SNA Gateway -- to ensure their compatibility with current and future LAN communication products from Novell, as well as direct product migration into areas not directly related to Novell's product strategy. Effective May 1, the technology transfer is the latest in a series of such agreements with Microdyne designed to guarantee hat existing and future users of these products receive the same uality service and support that they have received from Novell.

 The EXOS SNA Gateway, now available from Microdyne, is the company's high-end SNA gateway software solution for DOS machines that turns any IBM PC, PS/2 or compatible into an SNA gateway server. The EXOS SNA Gateway software is supported on NetWare SPX or IBM NetBIOS networks, and allows up to 97 workstations on a local area network (LAN) to access information stored on IBM or compatible SNA mainframes or AS/400 computers.
 Other products transferred from Novell to Microdyne are: NetWare SNA Gateway ELS; Novell Coax/Mux Adapter; Novell SAA Adapter for PC; and the Novell SAA Adapter for PS/2.
 The EXOS SNA Gateway ELS is Microdyne's entry-level gateway solution that turns any IBM PC, PS/2 and compatible workstation into an SNA gateway server. Targeted for small workgroups, ELS allows up to 16 workstations on a LAN to access IBM SNA or compatible mainframes.
 The EXOS 3270 LAN Workstation for SNA is a new release of Novell's NetWare 3270 LAN Workstation for DOS. Specifically for EXOS SNA Gateway and EXOS SNA Gateway ELS customers.
 Additionally, by providing the three 3270 communications adapters -- the EXOS Coax/Mux Adapter, EXOS SAA Synchronous Adapter for PC and the EXOS SAA Synchronous Adapter for PS/2 -- Microdyne completes its offering of SNA connectivity hardware to include: EXOS Coax Adapter, EXOS V.35 Synchronous Adapter and, EXOS Synchronous Adapter for PC. All of these hardware products are supported with the EXOS SNA Gateway except for the EXOS SAA Adapters, which are supported by Novell's NetWare for SAA.
