 MICROCOM AND VM SYSTEMS GROUP SIGN MARKETING AGREEMENT
 NORWOOD, Mass., May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Microcom, Inc. (NASDAQ: MNPI) a leading developer of PC connectivity solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with VM Systems Group, Inc. (VMSG), Vienna, Va. for expanded marketing of Microcom's Relay product line. As a result of this partnership, users of the prolific VM system will have greater access to the most advanced PC-to-mainframe communications solutions coupled with the support and expertise of the leading developer and vendor of VM system support products.
 Under the terms of the agreement, Microcom's Relay products will be marketed to VMSG's prospects and large installed base of mainframe customers.

 -- Relay/3270 -- a 3270 mainframe software emulation solution for PCs using Relay Gold.
 -- Relay/transfer -- a mainframe software solution that provides error-free file transfer between mainframes and PCs using Relay Gold.
 -- Relay Gateway -- provides network PCs with SDLC, Token Ring or 3299 DFT communications through a single connection.
