MICRO BIO-MEDICS, INC. EXPECTS RECORD FISCAL 1992 SALES,
NET INCOME AND EARNINGS PER SHARE, ANNUAL MEETING TOLD
PELHAM MANOR, N.Y., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Micro Bio-Medics, Inc. (NASDAQ: MBMI), a leading supplier of physician and sports medicine supplies, "expects record sales of some $60 million, record net income substantially exceeding the previous high and record earnings per share in fiscal 1992 ending Nov. 30, 1992," Bruce J. Haber, president and chief executive officer, told shareholders at the company's annual meeting today.
Sales in fiscal 1991, the previous record year, were $50.7 million with net

income of $668,000, or $.37 per share on 1.8 million shares. Estimated average shares for fiscal 1992 is 2.8 million. In the first six months of fiscal 1992, Micro Bio-Medics reported sales of $25.2 million and net income of $229,000, or $.11 per share on 2.5 million average shares.
Mr. Haber said, "This positive trend, which is expected to continue in fiscal 1993, is due to increased sales to both physicians and hospitals in the New York metropolitan area served by Micro Bio-Medics and to sports medicine customers nationwide. Increased efficiency in new facilities consolidated under one roof and an upgraded computer system have enabled us to give our customers better service and to receive more business from them in return. In addition, the containment of general and administrative expense has reduced these costs as a percentage of sales. Supporting future efforts are important additions to the management team which will help lead the company to the $100 million sales level in the near future."
Shareholders also reelected to the board of directors Bruce J. Haber, president; Marvin S. Caligor, consultant to the company and former president of Caligor Physicians and Hospital Supply, which was acquired by Micro Bio-Medics in 1982; Renee Steinberg, secretary and K. Deane Reade Jr., managing director of John Hancock Capital Growth Management, Inc. In addition, shareholders approved a 1992 incentive and non-qualified stock option plan.
