 MICHIGAN BELL TO STAFF MEDIA RELATIONS OFFICE SATURDAY
 DURING CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS
 Michigan Bell's Media Relations Office will be staffed on Saturday, Aug. 8, beginning at 3 p.m., as the company and the Communications Workers of America continue to negotiate a contract for more than 12,000 Bell workers. The current contract, which covers technicians, operators, service representatives, clerks and other workers, expires at midnight Saturday.
 Bargaining has been productive since it began June 17. The company remains optimistic that a mutually beneficial agreement will be reached by the deadline.
 Reporters who need to speak with a company spokesperson before 3 p.m. on Saturday may call one of the following media relations representatives at home:
