 MICHIGAN'S LARGEST LANDFILL GAS-TO-ENERGY FACILITY DEDICATED
 WHAT: Michigan's largest landfill gas-to-electricity facility is being dedicated today at City Sand and Landfill, Inc., located in southwestern Wayne County.
 The $10 million facility is a partnership undertaken by City Management Corporation of Detroit and Michigan Cogeneration Systems of Novi. The state-of-the-art facility will convert 4.5 million cubit feet of landfill gas each day into electricity using 10 Caterpillar engine/generator sets. Under contract with the Detroit Edison Company, 7.6 megawatts of electricity will be distributed through Edison's power lines providing all the electricity needs for 5,000 homes.
