 MICHELLE MANNING NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
 OF PRODUCTION FOR PARAMOUNT PICTURES
 HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Michelle Manning has been named senior vice president of production for Paramount Pictures, it was announced today.
 Manning joins Paramount with extensive experience as a producer, director and studio executive. She will report to John Goldwyn, president of the Motion Picture Group/Production.
 Most recently, Manning was vice president of production at Orion Pictures, where she served as production executive on "The Addams Family," the smash comedy hit which paramount released on Nov. 22.
 "Michelle is a talented motion picture executive with a wealth of experience, and she is a very welcome addition to our production staff at Paramount," Goldwyn said. "Her background in production and her extensive filmmaker relationships will be of tremendous benefit to us."
 While at Orion, Manning was involved in the production of such films as "Robocop" and "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey," in addition to her work on "The Addams Family" and many other Orion productions.
 She began her career with Zoetrope Studios, where she was production supervisor of "The Outsiders" and "Rumble Fish," both directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
 As an executive of Ned Tanen's Channel Productions, she produced "The Breakfast Club" and was associate producer of "Sixteen Candles," both directed by John Hughes.
 Manning made her feature film directing debut with "Blue City," for producers Walter Hill and William Hayward. She also directed musical sequences for Paramount's 1990 release "Another 48 Hours," starring Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte. In television, she has directed episodes of "Miami Vice" and Paramount's series "Friday the 13th."
 A native of Phoenix, Ariz., Manning has a bachelor's degree in cinema and television from the University of Southern California.
