 MICHAELS' NOVEMBER SALES RISE 35 PERCENT,
 WITH 32 PERCENT GAIN IN COMPARABLE STORE SALES
 IRVING, Texas, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Michaels Stores, Inc. today reported that, on the strength of a 32 percent improvement in comparable store sales, its sales for November 1991 increased 35 percent to $52.0 million from $38.6 million in November 1990.
 For the first ten months of fiscal 1991, sales increased 19 percent to $318.7 million from $267.3 million the prior year. Sales by Michaels stores in operation for the first ten months of both fiscal years increased 12 percent.
