MICHAEL ANTHONY WINS LAW SUIT DISMISSAL MOUNT VERNON, N.Y., April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Proceedings brought by
ENCA Industries, Ltd., and Roma Group Inc. against Michael Anthony Jewelers, Inc. (AMEX: MAJ), headquartered here, have been dismissed (April 3, 1992) following trial in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of New York, it was announced today.
A complaint filed against Michael Anthony on Jan. 25, 1991, sought a declaratory judgment subordinating Michael Anthony's claims as a secured creditor to all other allowed claims, monetary damages and punitive damages as
a result of Michael Anthony's alleged tortious interference with the debtors' contractual relations and business opportunities.
The court found that Michael Anthony had acted in good faith in protecting its interests as a creditor and had not engaged in any conduct which would warrant the subordination of its claims.
