MGM TO MAKE INTEREST PAYMENT

 SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., formerly known as MGM/UA Communications Co. (the "company"), announced today that it will pay a total of approximately $14.4 million in interest on the company's 13 percent subordinated debentures due 1996. The payment will be made as scheduled on June 15, 1993.
 The company is involved in the worldwide production and distribution of motion pictures and television programs, and operates theater chains in the United Kingdom and Europe.
