MGI launches new video editing software.
Worldwide Computer Products News-30 October 2001-MGI launches new video editing software (C)1995-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.comThe Canadian visual media software developer MGI has unveiled a new application designed to help users who are new to the world of video edit their videos on a PC.
The MGI Cinematic software offers three different modes for movie editing, each catering to users' different levels of experience. The first mode, CineMagic, lets the complete novice sit back while his/her raw video footage and favourite music are automatically transformed into a fully edited production, according to MGI. The user just has to select one of the many styles included in the program - from pop video to old-time movie - and CineMagic then organises the clips, adds special effects and transitions between scenes and sets the tempo.
The second mode is called StoryBuilder and it provides a step-by-step wizard that guides users through the creation of their own movie. Finally, the third mode gives users more familiar with the video editing process an option to create their own videos from scratch.
MGI Cinematic takes in video footage from both analogue and digital sources and can produce movies for transfer to PC, tape, the web, video CD or DVD. The software will be available at the end of November, priced at GBP49.99.
