MEYO, WIPFF RE-ELECTED TO TELXON BOARD OF DIRECTORS AKRON, Ohio, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Raymond D. Meyo and Dan R.
Wipff were re-elected to Telxon Corporation's (NASDAQ/NMS: TLXN) board of directors for three-year terms at the company's annual meeting held today.
Meyo is president and chief executive officer of Telxon, the world's leading manufacturer of hand-held microcomputer systems. He has been chief executive officer of the company since 1985 and president since 1981. Meyo has been a director of Telxon since 1983. Wipff is Telxon's senior executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer. He joined the company in 1989. Wipff has been a Telxon director since 1980 and was also a company director from 1974 to 1979. Telxon Portable Tele-transaction Computers (PTCs), related operating and application software, and communication devices work together to link PTCs with personal and mainframe computers and form a continuous information system from the shop floor to the executive floor, from the back room to the board room. Telxon's executive and engineering offices are located in Akron, Ohio, and its manufacturing facility is in Houston.
