MEXICAN AND AMERICAN REALTORS FORM INTERNATIONAL INTER-REAL FIRM

MEXICAN AND AMERICAN REALTORS FORM INTERNATIONAL INTER-REAL FIRM
SAN DIEGO, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Residents from the United States will have a new means to purchase real estate in Mexico, thanks to the formation of Inter-Real, a growing network of real estate brokerages working together to help consumers purchase property throughout Mexico.
Created as a joint venture between McMillin Realty in San Diego and Omarsa in Tijuana, the two brokerages recognized the need for the Mexican real estate network after receiving a growing number of inquiries from residents seeking property in Mexico from outside that country.
Through the Inter-Real network, families may locate homes a half- hour from the border, along the Atlantic coast or Gulf of Mexico, or in the heart of the country. Homebuyers receive direct assistance from leading agents familiar with the intricacies of property sales occurring within their area.
While other international real estate referral networks have been in existence for decades, and include hundreds of countries around the globe, most have not been affiliated with Mexico and until now a specific U.S.-Mexico real estate link such as Inter-Real has not existed.
Scott McMillin, president of McMillin Realty in San Diego, and Fernando A. Otanez, general administrator of Omarsa in Tijuana, see Inter-Real as the international consumer solution to stronger representation for Americans, without losing anything in the translation.
"With the formation of Inter-Real, we will be providing U.S. buyers with expert representation. At the same time, the overall experience should seem more comfortable and familiar. In most cases there won't even be a language barrier to overcome," Otanez said.
Anticipating more interrelated growth and development between the two countries especially within the "twin cities" of San Diego and Tijuana, McMillin says he sees San Diego becoming a stronger international city and marketplace within the coming years.
"With the growing maquiladora industry and a strong business thrust occurring in Mexico, along with the potential for a free-trade agreement, we see a growing need for more effective real estate representation," McMillin said. "That's why we established Inter- Real, simply as a way to provide investors and homebuyers with better service now and in the coming years."
Serving the entire country of Mexico, Inter-Real is available to all realtors in the United States as well as to families interested in seeking property in Mexico. For more information, call 800-446-6391.
