MEXICAN AIR FORCE AWARDS MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR SIMULATOR CONTRACT TO SBS ENGINEERING INC.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- SBS Engineering Inc. (NASDAQ: SBSE), a designer and producer of flight simulation systems for major aerospace contractors and the U.S. Government, announced today the receipt of an order in excess of $7 million from the Mexican Air Force to deliver two flight simulators. The F-5 simulator includes a complete refurbishment, new computational system, radar and visual system. The contract also includes the development and production of a Bell 212 helicopter flight simulator featuring six degree-of-freedom motion and a visual system. Byron Allen, executive vice president of SBS Engineering stated, "The F-5 simulator, when completed, will provide the Mexican Air Force with a significantly enhanced training capability. This capability will heighten skills and readiness of its fighter pilots. With respect to the Bell 212, it is the first helicopter simulator ever ordered by Mexico and will use the latest technology to assure fidelity, cost- effective, long-term support and maximum training transfer."
