 METRODOME TO SHOW OFF NEW SONY VIDEO DISPLAY SYSTEM
 NFL ICE SCULPTURE, EMBLEM, LOGO ON DISPLAY
 WHAT: The Metrodome's new 20-by-33-foot Sony Jumbotron color replay system is ready for the Super Bowl and will be shown off for the first time during the Great Minnesota Warm-Up Workout.
 -- The NFL will display a 5,000-pound, 10-foot-tall ice sculpture and the NFL emblem and logo. The ice sculpture is a replica of the Vince Lombardi Trophy awarded to the Super Bowl winner.
 WHEN: Saturday, Jan. 18
 Best photo opportunities:
 -- 11 a.m.-noon for Jumbotron and daytime ice sculpture photos
 -- 5-8 p.m. for evening ice sculpture and exterior Metrodome photos

 WHERE: Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, 900 S. Fifth St., Minneapolis. Enter Gate B to view the Jumbotron. The ice sculpture is outside Gate C
 BACKGROUND: The Sony Jumbotron, located in the south upper deck area, will complement the Jumbotron on the north end. It will allow fans at the Super Bowl game and all future events in the Metrodome to see video replays from any area of the stadium. Both Jumbotron screens are the same size and have the same capabilities for high-resolution video, replays, graphics and animation. The NFL contributed $250,000 of the $2.1 million cost of the new system; the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission paid the rest.
