METRO TEL CORP. REPORTS STRONG FISCAL 1993 YEAR END RESULTS

 JERICHO, N.Y., Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Metro Tel Corp. (NASDAQ: MTRO) today reported its results of operations for fiscal 1993.
 For the year ended June 30, 1993, the company reported sales of $4,589,721 with a profit of $363,319 or $.18 per share compared to sales of $4,440,178 and a loss of $59,125 or $.03 per share for fiscal 1992.
 V.J. Indelicato, president of Metro Tel, stated that, "Improved sales, coupled with planned cost-cutting moves and a one-time fourth quarter credit as a result of the out-of-court settlement of a patent infringement suit, enabled the company to post strong results for the year."
 Mr. Indelicato expressed concern about the continuing softness in the telecommunications market but was optimistic about the future of Metro Tel citing new product introduction along with reduced professional fees expected for fiscal 1994.
 Metro Tel is a manufacturer of telephone test equipment and peripheral telephone products.
