 METALCLAD NAMES EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
 ANAHEIM, Calif., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Metalclad Corp.


(NASDAQ: MTLC) announced today that effective July 1, 1992, Lee A. Deets, a prominent leader in the environmental services industry, has accepted the position of executive vice president of Metalclad as well as director of operations of the company's Environmental Services Division. It is anticipated that Deets will be elected as a member of Metalclad's board of directors at its next meeting.
 The company's Environmental Services Division is engaged in the development of hazardous waste management facilities in the states of San Luis Potosi and Veracruz, Mexico. Metalclad is also engaged in industrial insulation services and insulation material sales to customers primarily in California.
 Metalclad's president and chief executive officer, Grant S. Kesler, stated that: "Mr. Deets is one of the most highly respected, seasoned and knowledgeable executives in the environmental services industry and we feel that with his dynamic leadership in both the development and operations area we are assured of success with our projects in Mexico."
 Deets possesses 21 years of diversified experience in the United States environmental services industry, including 11 years in operating and management of environmental service companies and 10 years in environmental and management consulting businesses. Beginning in 1971, he was responsible for performing site selection studies, subsurface investigations, operating plans and engineering design of both solid and hazardous waste facilities. In the late 1970s, he was an owner and site manager of a hazardous waste management facility in the midwest. In the 1980s, his career expanded into environmental and management consulting. During this period, he was a principal in A.T. Kearney Inc., a well-known international management consulting firm where much of his practice involved assisting firms during their entry into the hazardous waste management industry. During this time he was also the technical director to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under the RCRA implementation contract. Most recently, he served as the chairman and chief executive officer of Encycle Texas Inc., a division of Asarco Ltd., a New York Stock Exchange company.
