 MESABA REPORTS FEBRUARY TRAFFIC
 MINNEAPOLIS/ST.PAUL, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Mesaba Aviation, Inc.,


today said that it flew 15.1 million revenue passenger miles during the month of February, a 14.0 percent increase when compared with 13.2 million revenue passenger miles flown during the same month last year (a revenue passenger mile equals one passenger flown one mile). The airline said it carried 74,285 passengers during the month, an increase of 12.9 percent over 65,783 passengers carried last February. Mesaba's load factor in February was 45.3 percent compared with 46.7 percent during the same month one year ago.
 Mesaba operates as Northwest Airlink under a marketing agreement with Northwest Airlines. The regional carrier provides connecting service to Northwest at Minneapolis/St. Paul International and Detroit Metropolitan Airports. The airline currently serves 39 cities in 13 states and one Canadian province.
 Mesaba Aviation, Inc., is a wholly owned subsidiary of Minnesota- based AirTran Corporation. AirTran's common stock is traded on the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol ATCC.
