MESA AIRLINES RELEASES OCTOBER TRAFFIC FIGURES FARMINGTON, N.M., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Mesa Airlines Inc.
(NASDAQ: MESA) today reported its traffic numbers for October 1992. The total number of passengers carried was 360,828, up 228 percent from the like period last year. Revenue passenger miles were up 215 percent to 73,025,000 and available seat miles increased 177 percent to 142,737,000. Load factor inreased 6.2 percentage points to 51.2 percent versus 45.0 percent in 1991.
Mesa Airlines operates as an independent carrier out of its Albuquerque hub, as a United Express carrier out of its Denver hub, and, as of Oct. 1, an America West Express carrier out of Phoenix. Skyway Airlines, a division of Mesa Airlines, operates as a code-share with Midwest Express Airlines out of its Milwaukee hub. Air Midwest is a wholly owned subsidiary operating as a code-share with USAir out of its Kansas City, Mo. hub. The FloridaGulf division also operates as USAir Express out of a Tampa, Fla. hub. WestAir, a wholly owned subsidiary operating as United Express, has hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Ore. and Seattle. MESA AIRLINES INC.
