 MESA AIRLINES ANNOUNCES WESTAIR MANAGEMENT TEAM
 FARMINGTON, N.M., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Mesa Airlines Inc.


(NASDAQ: MESA) announced today that it has selected a new management team for its WestAir Commuter Airlines subsidiary and that the transition to this new team is complete.
 Jonathan Ornstein -- President. Ornstein was formerly the Vice President of Planning and Scheduling at Mesa Airlines where he was involved in the acquisition of WestAir by Mesa and had been working closely with previous management prior to the closing to effect changes necessary to help the company return to profitability.
 George Lippemeier -- Vice President of Flight Operations. Lippemeier was formerly the Director of Operations for Mesa Airlines where he had management responsibility for the Mesa Airlines division of that company which is based in Farmington.
 Bob Dynan -- Vice President of Passenger Services. Dynan held the same position with Air Midwest Inc. (a wholly owned Mesa Airlines subsidiary) prior to accepting the position at the larger WestAir operation.
 Gary Ellmer, a long-time WestAir employee, was asked to remain in the position of Vice President of Maintenance which he held prior to the acquisition.

 WestAir Commuter Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mesa Airlines, operates as United Express in California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
