MERVYN H. MANNING RETIRES

 DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 19 ~PRNewswire~ -- Mervyn H. Manning, vice president - Latin American Operations for Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F), has announced his intention to retire effective Jan. 1, 1993. He has been with Ford for 36 years, including 15 years as a company vice president.
 Mr. Manning joined Ford in 1956 as a cost analyst with Ford Division and held a number of finance assignments before becoming controller of Ford Tractor Operations in 1967. After holding a number of key operating positions with Ford Tractor, he was elected a company vice president and appointed general manager of Ford Tractor Operations in 1977.
 Since 1984, Mr. Manning's wide-ranging international experience included an assignment as president, Ford Asia-Pacific Inc., prior to being named head of Latin American Operations in 1989.
 Mr. Manning was born Sept. 19, 1932, in Detroit. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School.
