LOCAL Solutions has secured a grant from the John Paul Getty Jnr Charitable Trust to fund a post to enhance its support for young single homeless people in Liverpool.

The new Intensive Support Mentoring (ISM) Programme will work with hostels and housing providers in Liverpool offering clients one to one intensive support and advocacy.

THE Royal British Legion has re-opened one of its Poppy Break centres in Merseyside following major refurbishment work.

Byng House, in Southport, a centre offering free holidays for serving and ex-serving men, women and their dependents, welcomed its first guests on Wednesday, January 14. It had been closed since early 2007.
