MERISEL APPOINTS TIMOTHY JENSON AS VICE PRESIDENT AND TREASURER

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Merisel Inc. (NASDAQ: MSEL) today announced the appointment of Timothy Jenson as its new vice president and treasurer. Jenson will be responsible for Merisel's banking, financial services, risk management, insurance, foreign exchange and tax policies. He will replace Kevin Evans, who has accepted the position of vice president and finance director of Merisel Europe. Evans has relocated to the company's European headquarters in London and will be responsible for the company's European financial operations.
Jenson, who previously held vice president positions at Citicorp North America Inc. and Bank of America NT & SA, comes to Merisel with more than 10 years of financing experience. Since the merger in 1990, he has been one of Merisel's corporate bankers, providing the company with financing solutions and banking services.
"One of our top priorities from a financial standpoint has been the focus on our European network through a difficult recessionary economic environment," said Merisel Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer James Brill. "Kevin Evans has done an excellent job for us over the last three years, and I believe the combination of his financial experience and knowledge of the company will be invaluable as business through the European region continues to grow. I am also extremely pleased that Tim Jenson will now be a full-time member of Merisel's finance team. His experience in the computer industry, as well as his involvement with mergers and acquisitions is critical to the success of our worldwide expansion plans."
