MERCURY AIR GROUP SUBSIDIARY RECEIVES NEW FOUR-YEAR REFUELING CONTRACT FROM THE U.S. MILITARY

 LOS ANGELES, April 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Mercury Air Group Inc. (AMEX: MAX) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Maytag Aircraft Corp., has received a new $3,000,000, four-year aircraft refueling contract to service the U.S. Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Fla., effective Sept. 1, 1993.
 Maytag Aircraft operates government-owned fuel facilities and refuels a variety of military and commercial aircraft on a 24-hour basis. With the Pensacola contract, Maytag will provide aircraft refueling and fuel storage services to 21 military bases.
 Seymour Kahn, president of Maytag Aircraft, commented, "The Pensacola contract represents the sixth new contract award received by Maytag within the past two years. Maytag offers highly skilled, cost-effective refueling services for the U.S. Armed Forces and aids in its efforts to cut costs while maintaining an effective state of readiness."
