MERCEDES-BENZ ANNOUNCES CHANGES IN PUBLIC RELATIONS

 MONTVALE, N.J., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Mercedes-Benz of North America, Inc., has announced two changes in its public relations management.
 Linda Paulmeno, currently manager of media relations, has been named director of communications for Mercedes-Benz Project Inc., the new company responsible for establishing Mercedes-Benz AG's passenger- vehicle manufacturing operations in the United States, effective June 1. (Mercedes-Benz AG is the Stuttgart, Germany-based manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz cars and trucks.)
 In her new position, Paulmeno will be responsible for public relations, media relations, community relations, internal communications and vendor relations. She will be based on an interim basis in Chicago and will relocate once a site for the new production facility is selected.
 Donna Boland will assume the position of MBNA manager of media relations in the company's headquarters here. Boland is currently public relations manager for MBNA's northeast region, based in Bethesda, Md., and a replacement will be selected shortly. In her new capacity, Boland will be responsible for all media activities relating to business and corporate issues, including development of communications strategy.
 Paulmeno joined MBNA in 1981 and, in addition to public relations, has held positions in dealer development and managed the company's internal quality program. She has a B.A. in communications/journalism and an M.B.A. in marketing.
 Boland joined MBNA in July 1991, after ten years with Volkswagen of America, most recently as manager of public relations. She holds a B.A. in English and Communications.
