MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS, INC. EXECUTES A JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENT TO MARKET PRODUCTS TO THE LONG-TERM HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY

 CLEARWATER, Fla., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical Technology Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: MSYS) said that its subsidiary, Vangard Labs, Inc. has signed a contract with Creighton Products Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Corporation of East Hanover, N.J., establishing a joint venture to market pharmaceutical products to the long-term healthcare industry.
 Utilizing Med Tech's Vangard Labs production facilities in Glasgow, Ky., the joint venture will manufacture, package and distribute medication cards of pharmaceuticals for long-term care pharmacy and other selected health care facilities. The venture is to commence immediately and will be jointly introduced at the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist Convention in New Orleans on Nov. 10 under the name of Glasgow Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
 Todd E. Siegel, president and CEO of Medical Technology Systems, Inc., said, "The joint venture with Creighton Products will substantially accelerate the acceptance and use of pre-filled pharmaceuticals in medication cards for the long-term healthcare industry."
 Medication cards are a more efficient and economical way for nursing homes to dispense and monitor patient tablet and capsule medication. Through savings in time and labor, Med Tech's equipment and supplies help nursing home pharmacists lower the cost of packaging cards. The pre-filled medication card is the latest innovation to allow the industry to reduce costs.
