MEDICAL GRAPHICS NAMES NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES AND MARKETING
ST. PAUL, Minn., May 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical Graphics Corporation (NASDAQ: MGCC) announced today that Micheal Griffin has been named vice president, sales and marketing. Griffin previously served as the company's director of international sales and marketing.
Griffin has successfully developed profitable sales growth for Medical Graphics since June 1989. His earlier sales and marketing success in both Europe and the United Stated includes playing a leading role in developing medical sales and marketing programs as director of sales and marketing for SensorMedics BV in Holland, regional manager for Cooper Lasersonics, and division manager for Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation.
His extensive U.S. and European sales, sales management and marketing experience and knowledge of several European languages ideally suits Griffin for leading Medical Graphics' global market share and sales growth.
"I look forward to Mike's contributions as vice president of sales and marketing," said Catherine A. Anderson, chairman, president and CEO. "We are very pleased with his many accomplishments in international markets, and believe his strong market-driven focus will accelerate our domestic marketing efforts as well."
In addition to Griffin's advancement, the company named Matthew Abbott to director of international sales.
Abbott, who previously served the company as regional sales manager for Group II International Sales, has been instrumental in developing a profitable global distribution system in areas outside the United States and Europe. "Matt's detailed knowledge of the international marketplace and strong sales management skills position him to further enhance Medical Graphics' leadership position in international markets," said Anderson. Abbott has been employed with the company since 1986.
"These organizational changes will strengthen our company for the growth we expect," said Anderson. "Our new sales and marketing organization will help us accelerate that growth in both sales and earnings."
Medical Graphics Corporation develops, manufactures and markets computerized, non-invasive cardiorespiratory diagnostic systems for the early diagnosis, cost-effective treatment and prevention of circulatory system disease. With headquarters in St. Paul, Minn., and Dusseldorf, Germany, Medical Graphics does business in 30 countries.
