 MEDIA SEMINAR: MEDICINES IN DEVELOPMENT FOR WOMEN
 The National Pharmaceutical Council and Research!America are


sponsoring a press briefing on the pharmaceutical industry's progress in the research and development of medicines to treat women. Future directions for the treatment of diseases including osteoporosis will be discussed. Additionally, scientists investigating new alternatives for contraception and dealing with menopause will be featured.
 Please hold this date for a seminar that will give you a look into the future of these exciting and promising areas.

 -- The effectiveness of a new delivery system in treating osteoporosis to be covered by David L. Winter, M.D., vice president of external affairs, Sandoz Pharmaceutical Corporation.
 -- Innovative approaches for contraception, discussed by Audrey Phillips, Ph.D., research manager, contraceptive research, R.W. Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Institute, Research Arm for Ortho Pharmaceutical Corporation.
 -- Current research in hormone therapy, including contraception, perimenopause and hormone replacement therapy, discussed by Randall Whitcomb, M.D., associate director, clinical research, endocrine for the Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Research Division of Warner-Lambert Company.
