Larry Dreiling, High Plains Journal associate editor, is the new president of the American Agricultural Editors' Association. Dreiling has been a High Plains Journal associate editor since March 1989 and is active in several ag reporting groups.

Farm Journal Corp., Philadelphia, hires Will Murphy as senior vice president of sales, Sue Lee as regional sales manager, Jed Parks as regional sales manager and Mike Walsten as vice president of sales and marketing for Pro Farmer.

Murphy comes to Farm Journal from Meredith Corp., where he held various management positions, most recently ad director for Better Homes & Gardens' Wood magazine.

Lee will cover the Eastern seaboard for Farm Journal, Top Producer, Beef Today and Dairy Today. She joins Farm Journal from the Farm Progress Companies and has also worked for Hoard's Dairyman, Webb Publishing and the Saatchi and Saatchi Wegner Agency. She will be working out of NewYork.

Parks will represent Dairy Today and Beef Today in the Midwest. Previously, Parks represented Pharmacia & Upjohn in the pharmaceutical marketplace. He is based in the Kansas City area.

Walsten comes to Farm Journal from Oster Communications, where his responsibilities included promoting the company's Web site and satellite-delivered electronic services. He will be based in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Veterinary Learning Systems, Trenton, N.J., has promoted Beth Thompson to vice president in charge of business development. Thompson was previously medical director with Veterinary Learning Systems.
