MEDAPHIS CORPORATION APPOINTS TIMOTHY J. KILGALLON EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT -- OPERATIONS OF MEDAPHIS PHYSICIAN SERVICES CORPORATION

 ATLANTA, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Medaphis Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: MEDA) today announced the appointment of Timothy J. Kilgallon as executive vice president-operations of Medaphis Physician Services Corporation, a new position. Mr. Kilgallon, who currently serves as senior vice president-finance and administration and chief financial officer of Medaphis Corporation will report to Gene P. Kaczmarski, president, Medaphis Physician Services Corporation. Mr. Kilgallon, 33, who was formerly general counsel for Medaphis, has been with the company for nearly five years.
 Medaphis also announced that Michael R. Cote, 32, will succeed Mr. Kilgallon as senior vice president-finance and administration and chief financial officer and Caryn S. Dickerson, 29, Medaphis' assistant controller, will replace Mr. Cote as corporate controller. Mr. Cote had been vice president and controller since March 1992. He was previously with the public accounting firm, KPMG Peat Marwick. Ms. Dickerson was previously with the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen and Company.
