MDS (Khaskhoussi):"The forces of regression are in the administration and the parties close to former regime".

TUNIS (TAP)- Socialist Democratic Movement (MDS) Secretary-General Ahmed Khaskhoussi said that the political situation in Tunisia is today "extremely dangerous". "This situation requires to act rapidly to face up the forces of regression which foment a counter-revolution who are still, in particular, in the administration and in the parties close to the former regime", said Mr. Khaskhoussi. In an MDS extended politburo meeting held on Sunday morning in Tunis, Mr. Khaskhoussi said that several parties of the "puppet opposition attempt today in impudent manner to steal the Revolution from the Tunisian people". Mr. Khaskhoussi also evoked the trial of the former regime symbols and the situation of the judiciary system which, he said, " requires cleaning up and achieving independence". Topping the agenda of the MDS politburo meeting, the next date of the movement's national council which will tackle the internal issues and the preparations for the elections of the National Constituent Assembly. Took part in the meeting, members of the politburo and the secretary-generals of the MDS regional federations.
