MCP fumigation campaign from today.

PESHAWAR -- The fumigation campaign of Municipal Corporation Peshawar (MCP) will start from Saturday, May 10, 2014 and will be conducted in different phases in union councils.

In this connection, a meeting of the civic body was held here with Administrator, Rasheed Ahmad Khan in the chair. Besides, Chief Municipal Officer (CMO), Javed Amjad, principal officers and Spray Incharge Pervez attended.

Speaking on the occasion, Administrator, MCP, Rasheed Ahmad Khan said that like last year, MCP had once again taken lead in anti-malaria and dengue operations this year. He said that the campaign started from April 01, 2014 had covered all areas of the corporation.

For this purpose, he said the area of the corporation was divided into sector one and two and a total of 30 persons participated to make the operation a success.

During the campaign special attention was paid to General Bus Stands (GBS), water ponds, drains and lower areas of the city. He further said that the campaign is restarting from Saturday (May 10, 2014) during which shoulder and pump spray will also be conducted to overcome the production of both dengue and malaria.
