MCI TO DEMONSTRATE NEW COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
DESIGNED TO INCREASE SAFETY AND EFFICIENCY OF AIR TRAVEL
A new national communications network designed to increase the safety and efficiency of air travel throughout the United States will be previewed on Tuesday, July 21, 10 a.m. EDT at the J.W. Marriott Hotel, 1331 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Washington.
MCI, which has designed the advanced voice and data network for the Federal Aviation Administration, will demonstrate the system's reliability by intentionally cutting a fiber optic link -- and restoring service within seconds.
To listen to the briefing and demonstration, call 800-857-6000 and give the password "MCI-TV."
