MCI NOW OFFERING PROOF POSITIVE TO AMERICAN BUSINESSES

 Looking for a Solution to the Confusion, Thousands of Businesses
 Have Already Called MCI for the 'Proof'
 ATLANTA, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Flooded with inquires from businesses seeking an end to the confusion in the long distance market, MCI has announced Proof Positive, a breakthrough new program that is designed to radically change how business customers purchase long-distance services, and to save customers millions of dollars in charges that annually result from not being on the most cost-efficient calling plan.
 Proof Positive from MCI provides written documentation, every 90 days, that customers are on the most cost-efficient calling plan for their businesses and always receive MCI's best price. Since announcing the program in May, MCI has fielded nearly 10,000 calls from prospective users and from MCI Business Services customers.

"Long distance business customers deserve this sort of information and service, but no carrier other than MCI has had the courage to step to the plate."

 Proof Positive impacts the eight million American businesses, spending between $5 and $50,000 in monthly long distance expenses, that are wasting more than $200 million annually in long distance expenditures because they are not on the most cost-efficient calling plan.
 Based on the projected success of Proof Positive, MCI announced last week the opening of a new customer service center in Tampa, Fla., with the addition of 800 jobs, and the addition of 200 jobs at its Englewood, Colo., service center.

 Proof Positive is a free service that analyzes a business' actual call data to provide written documentation, every 90 days, demonstrating:

 with comparisons to AT&T's most widely used calling plans for
 businesses their size.

 could have paid less during any month on another MCI calling
 plan, MCI automatically credits the difference on the customers
