MCI ISSUES MEDIA STATEMENT

 WASHINGTON, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to the AT&T/Unitel patents suit filed against Stentor and MCI in Toronto this afternoon, MCI issued the following statement:
 We have not seen the suit so we cannot comment in detail. However, if it tracks with the suit filed by AT&T in the U.S. in January, the patents are not enforceable. The MCI Intelligent Network in no way infringes AT&T's intellectual property.
