MCI INTRODUCES NEW REPORTING TOOL FOR 800 SERVICE

 WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Businesses that utilize 800 numbers for sales, marketing and customer service applications, will soon have a powerful new reporting tool available to them from MCI Communications Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: MCIC).
 MCI's 800 TrafficView provides detailed information that allows companies to carefully monitor their 800 traffic and maximize the efficiency of their 800 number operations.
 By providing statistics on call attempts, call duration, completed and incompleted calls and other important components of 800 service, MCI's 800 TrafficView can quickly provide companies with a clear overview of the ebb and flow of any 800 service in use.
 "TrafficView is like an air traffic control system for 800 services," according to Nancy Gofus, MCI's vice president of general product marketing for National Accounts. "It provides businesses with the critical information they need on calling patterns and call volume, thereby helping them to increase sales and improve customer service."
 MCI can provide 800 TrafficView reports hourly, daily, weekly or monthly, and daily figures can be incorporated into weekly and monthly summaries. Individual reports can be distributed to multiple company locations, allowing each center to manage its own 800 operation, and statistics are compiled by the hour, day-of-the-week, area code, trunk group, date and 800 number.
 "TrafficView leads the industry in the integration of traffic statistics into a single, flexible offering," said Gofus. "Critical information about your 800 service is right there at your fingertips, and MCI's customer service group can help identify any problems and quickly provide solutions."
 MCI's 800 TrafficView will be available in the second quarter of 1993 and can be delivered to the customer through a variety of means, including being downloaded to a PC through MCI Perspective, a premier analysis tool that allows companies to review calling patterns visually. Reports can also be sent via fax, electronic mail and the U.S. Postal Service through MCI Mail, the company's electronic mail delivery service.
