MCI ANNOUNCES SEVEN NEW GLOBAL ADVANTAGE AGREEMENTS
 ATLANTA, May 20, /PRNewswire/ -- MCI International (MCII), a

subsidiary of MCI Communications Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: MCIC), today announced new Global Advantage cooperative agreements with seven international telecommunications companies to offer one-stop shopping for international private lines in establishing worldwide networks. The agreements were announced at the 1992 International Communications Association's trade show here.
MCI's Global Advantage service provides international business customers with a single point of contact for planning, service ordering, implementation, management, maintenance and billing for international network services. MCI introduced Global Advantage in early 1988 and announced initial agreements at that time with KDD of Japan and British Telecom. With the addition of these new agreements, MCI now has a total of 19 agreements with leading international telecommunications companies.
The newly signed agreements are with: Deutsche Bundespost Telekom of Germany; France Telecom; Italcable of Italy; Swiss PTT of Switzerland; Spain Telefonica; Chile/Chilesat; and Costa Rica/RACSA. Negotiations are underway with other countries to further expand the service to additional international locations.
"Our global agreements allow MCI to provide customers with a single contact for their communications needs in key international locations where they require support," said Seth Blumenfeld, president and chief operating officer of MCI International. "Our Global Advantage program goes hand-in- hand with our array of international network services and global technical support capabilities to provide customers with the best total service package in the industry."
With MCI's Global Advantage, customers can make a single call to receive network planning and consultation services including: domestic access facilities procurement and coordination; provisioning, installation and maintenance of customer premise equipment in the United States and overseas service coordination, plus central network operations and consolidated charges for service and access facilities.
MCI, headquartered in Washington, offers a full range of domestic and global telecommunications services through one of the world's largest all-digital networks. The company, with 1991 revenue of approximately $8.4 billion, is the second largest long distance provider in the United States and has more than 60 overseas offices in 55 countries.
