MCGRAW-HILL RAISES DIVIDEND

 NEW YORK, Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- A regular quarterly dividend of 57 cents per share on the corporate common stock was declared today by the board of directors of McGraw-Hill, Inc. (NYSE: MHP). This represents an increase of one cent per share. It will be payable March 10, 1993 to shareholders of record on Feb. 24, 1993.
 McGraw-Hill has increased its dividend each year since 1974. The annual rate of $2.28 per share in 1993 represents a compound growth rate in McGraw-Hill's common share dividends of 12 percent since 1974.
 McGraw-Hill's board of directors also declared a dividend on $1.20 convertible preference stock of 30 cents per share payable April 1, 1993 to shareholders of record on Feb. 24, 1993.
